Artist Statement

My work arises from the persistance of photographic memory.

Universal moments that line our 'collective memory' such as a lone figure encountering headlights on a dark highway to specific footage from the assassination of JFK.

Storing within us as images, icons, movements and causal pathways that bind to us.

My work engages the recollection of those fixed memories through sculpture and the shifting gaze architecture can insite.

Upending the trail of narratives flowing through our every day, as well as the unique visual alchemy that triggers a memory to fill negative space, and shift viewing into participation.
