I use the fluidity of the materials, the texture in the papers I paint and erase almost as describing a place, an story, a particular piece of news, good or bad. I use color and space to define the proximity of language, the marks and symbols as anchor, the houses and boats as metaphors for the body, trees and foliage as metaphors to life itself, News from the Spanish papers, Spanish tarot symbols, popular myths, exile prayers and even music are intrinsic part of work. I draw in order to connect the viewer with the power of desires and wisdom.
I use order for the compositions in a similar way that Santeria altars are constructed, the priorities, the placement of each symbol is decided on the particular need or idea.
