The experiential nature and time-lapse compositions in Chinese scrolls make perfect sense to me. I reflect on how their shifting perspectives and mobile spaces might be revisited in a landscape shaped by frequent travel and virtual reality. The stream of information that results from divergent climates and cultures becomes, in my work, landscapes for imaginary wandering where Yuan Dynasty and the Flintstones collide.
