Artist Statement

My work continues to bring dismissed, overlooked and everday structures of the roadside landscape to the foreground. Having grown up in the south suburbs of Denver, about a mile from Columbine High in terrain captured by New Topographics photographers, I am interested the tucked away, peripheral spaces hidden in the cracks of vision. I am interested in how a cluster of street signs, or bland self-storage sheds hints at disruption beneath an orderly suburban surface.
