Artist Statement

My favourite interests are focused on the gap between art and natural-scientific consideration. Architectural aspects are lying nearby, in so far my constructions reach the dimensions of over man-sized spatial housings. These studies finally brought me to investigate and to compare how human imaginative mind on the one hand or how life and nature on the other hand deals with the complex issues of construction and creation.

I develop my projects from the perspective of such studies and my methods are alike these of an engineer or an architect.

My artistic program has to do with my interest in natural scientific phenomenons like self-organisation of material structures toward complex autonomic organized patterns and the emerging of life. My statement of art production is manifested in the programmatic title „ARTS AND ARCHITECTURAL APPLICATIONS“. It’s the opportunity to offer the spectrum of my artistic investigations for specified purposes to the context of public space.

This comes along with an other aspect of my artistic conviction: In concentrating on my technical drawings I try to revive the high cultivated aesthetics of scientific influenced illustration of the 19th and earlier centuries, such as like old architectural drawing, medical or zoological-botanical drawing.
