Artist Statement

All of my works are the products of direct visual experience, or "visual meditations", as I like to call them.  Drawn from life over many months, these seemingly ordinary objects and interior spaces gradually reveal themselves as timeless vessels of light, weight, gravity and abstract shapes.

All possess a grace and a presence which i feel transcends the ordinary.  While I look to classical, modern and contemporary masters for inspiration, my true passion is for the poetry of the visual world itself.
