Artist Statement

My process for making art is to approach the materials with the most honest form of myself I can reach at that moment. This is because true art is trustworthy and supportive to the maker. The process will never betray you and it will always provide the answer. It is the maker's responsibility to stay true to this process and respect it. If this does not happen, you will see the outcome on the object made, and the outcome will not be a work of art. It will be happenstance and will not be self sufficient. It will also, most likely, not be beautiful in any way (and there are many forms of beauty, including ugliness).
