Artist Statement
My work aims to in some ways reconnect the conscience of man with nature, understanding the simbiosis between the two and acknowledging ourselves as biological beings. Understanding our sense of place and the role of memory.

The project "diciembre a febrero" rather than being a botanical study, this project was based on an intuitive recollection of plants from Mexico City. For a period of two months and a half I devoted to the recollection of plants of any sort and any state as long as they could fit on a 11.8" x 7.8" paper and formed part of the wild flora of public spaces in Mexico City. The installation stands as documentation of this process. It resulted in 68 botanical illustrations inspired, and a sculpture and bottles with live plants which were transplanted from the street.
