Artist Statement

Bartow + Metzgar's collaborative art practice is an experimental engagement with the urban environment informed by their training in the visual arts and architecture. B+M research specific urban sites as a way to understand the complex relationships among cultural, historical, geological, and microbiological information that collectively define our experiences of a particular place.

Artist Bio / CV

Paul Bartow is half of the collaborative team Bartow + Metzgar established in 1999. Their current research utilizes experimental drawing practices, mapping systems, and research methodologies for the investigation of Urban Environments.
