Artist Statement
Luis NobreStatement  My work  explores  the possibility of the drawing as a representation medium but also as a way to feel a deep  overlapping of layers, this vibrations are allows us to feel and  developed  the tensions of the work. Its trough a chronologic and global line that figures can articulate fissures between times ( epochs/ambients ) and  aesthetic categories.   Artificially meld nature, drawing and history into objects that question different genres of drawing and its utilisation as a sociological and historic memento of nature. Within these 'cinematographic travellings  and geographic narratives'  I question ideas of nature, survival and the ‘implications of the empty space’ between the originally observed subject and it’s drawn and displayed rendition.  My resource  investigates ideas of nature and symbolism.  Using materials and display I explore  ideas of the public and private exposition of objects and drawings and the relationship between humanity and nature.  My work connects the private act of drawing, based on form and effect, with the process of the individual and collective memorization of the world. Drawing can happen everywhere and in a large spectrum of objects and surfaces dealing with all kinds of different atmospheres, mixing privacy with the public.   Dealing with  questions in different forms, materials and ways of exposing, pertaining to the contemplation of something remembered but not crystallised.
